Phase Build Tip Boss Pitfall Mechanic

A day-by-day SSF journey from campaign through endgame juicing. Covers build choices (Twister → Mighty Silverfist), campaign strategies, atlas progression, ascendancy unlocks, and the transition to endgame content. Two core themes: speed for early progression, flexibility for adapting to drops and content.

Campaign & League Start

Build Choice — Twister

Started with Twister (duration variant on Mobalytics). Twister held the campaign clear speed record at the time.

Monkey build (Mighty Silverfist) was viable from Act 2 but slower — Twister was the correct pick for speed.

Important: pick a strong, proven starter — you can't control the difficulty of upcoming content.

Campaign Tips — Transmute & Augment Everything

Core Advice: Weapon-based builds need constant gear upgrades. Unlike spells/minions (where a +1 scepter can carry 40 levels), you must invest currency as you go.

Transmute & Augment

Use transmutes and augments on rings, gloves — anything that can give flat damage.
Flat damage is scarce and only comes from gear.
Always invest currency in the weapon type you just unlocked.

Passive Tree — Damage First

First few points must be %increased damage.
Builds that path through attribute nodes first are terrible to level — save those for respecs.

Skip Defenses

Go full glass cannon — ignore defensive nodes entirely during campaign.
Monster health scales gradually; dying costs nothing (no XP loss).
Save defenses for maps where you lose portals.

Rune Quests

Mandatory — many map runes stay locked otherwise.
Spread across all acts; budget ~10 hours for campaign with backtracking.

Early Mapping & Atlas Progression

Map Masters

Get at least one map master point immediately. 15% increased rare monsters is global for all maps.

Hilda	Beast map (nearest to Ziggurat Refuge)
Doriani	Corrupted zones
Jedo	Deadly map bosses (lineage gem drops)

Points can be allocated on the same row and interchanged per map. 4 points total.

Waystone Progression

1.Buy T14s from Doriani — shop = 1 tier below max; refreshes on level + map completions

2.Run Blue Maps — transmute + aug only. 2 affixes. First ~300 maps.

3.Powerful Boss Nodes — drop +1 tier waystone. Feed T14s here → T15s.

4.Overseer Tablets — empowered bosses drop +1 waystone.

5.Reforge Bench — 3× same tier → 1 of next tier.

Target Atlas Passives

15% increased quantity of waystones from map bosses
50% increased rarity of waystones

Mindset

Focus on completing the atlas (400 points).
Save gold for buying maps from Doriani.
Gravitate toward the fortress for main atlas sections.
Gate bosses unlock second section; Arbiter of Ash unlocks final section.

Fourth Ascendancy

Jin Bara — Trial Strategy

Requirements

Area level 75 for 4 trials → 4th ascendancy
75% honor resistance on relics (key stat)

Getting ilvl 75

Find a node with "boss drops Jin Bara"
Run in zone level 73 → boss drops +2 → ilvl 75
Or run T15 maps for natural ilvl 75

Ascendancy Path (Spirit Walker)

Primal Bounty
Matcha's Gift
Vivid Stampede (or Bear)
Sacred Unity — unlocks all three, huge power spike

Tip: First boss encounter is the quest version (zone level 78 vs 81) — more approachable.

Build Transition & The Monkey

When to Transition

Day 1-2:Twister — speed clear, atlas completion

Day 3-4:Gather gear — don't craft until the full set is ready

Day 5+:Mighty Silverfist — handles harder content after atlas is filled

Twister falls off around mid day 2 if uninvested. Don't respec early — speed is king for atlas completion. Transition after atlas is mostly done.

The Forgotten Warden

Drops from Bodok (Uber Ritual boss)
Grants level 20 Spirit Vessel — one-of-a-kind companion skill
Talisman skills socket directly into it
Atious Impatience works on it (not a minion gem) → 100% CDR → permanent moonbeams
Majority of clear damage

Building without a guide: Creator checked PoE Ninja, found all other setups "garbage." Trust your gut with brand-new content. Gather all pieces before investing currency.

Mighty Silverfist — Farming

Outrageous crit/crit damage — strongest bossing build
Get a Silverfist with good affixes (crit, etc.)
Roll every tablet with transmute + aug (3 chances at affixes)
Bookmark spawn locations (e.g. Riverside marked "R")

Endgame Juicing

Tablet Strategy

Focus	Why
% increased experience	Three tablets = 60%+ extra XP. Leverage character level for harder content.
Overseer	Always take — powerful bosses drop significantly more loot.
Breach + Ritual	Preferred city tile setup for juice.

Temple (Post-Bug-Fix)

Bugged at launch; fix rolled around day 5
Unlock fourth tablet slot from temple tree
Save temples until city points are invested — use city tiles for crazy juice
Can bank up to 60 temples

Map Masters — Endgame Priority

Master	Value
Doriani	Maps have additional revival — 2 portals on 6-affix maps
Head of the Snake	Powerful bosses 5% chance to reveal nearby citadel (teleport)
Tablet Modifiers	Kill second boss to unlock 4-affix tablets

Note: Doriani's irradiated node currently doesn't work — use another content tablet until fixed.
